The Solution Library (SL) is, first and foremost, a directory of solutions! , and was originally developed by the Global Ecovillage Network. It provides short descriptions of sustainable solutions, with links to more detailed information. It is a place where solutions from all over the world are gathered in one easy-to-browse platform.

Sustainability has five dimensions: Environmental, Social, Economic, Cultural/Worldview and Whole System. The SL’s solutions can be browsed by these dimensions and/or by geographic region and/ or by keywords. Additionally, the Solution Library provides the possibility to share solutions you have discovered, thereby enriching the knowledge base of the library.

The Solution Library also creates a global community by enabling members to connect with one another and with projects where solutions are used and, often, pioneered. In this way the SL facilitates direct knowledge exchange focussed on sustainable solutions.

As part of the SIRCle project, the Learning Patterns that we have both already created, and those that we and you will continue to create, will be uploaded to the Solution Library so that they can be accessed by the widest possible audience. Likewise, participants on the Evoneers’ Journey will have access to the entire Solution Library to support them in their learning.
